What it means
- The median is the middle, not a target. What you are paid also depends on experience, company size and responsibility. In the salary comparison you can enter your salary and see where you stand.
- Your region matters. For some professions, salaries differ between regions by tens of percent. Why your region matters
- The figures are for 2025. Salaries have grown since then, so today's median will be somewhat higher.
- If you earn less than your work is worth, it is a good reason to ask for more. How to ask for a raise
