Extra pay calculator: what should be on your payslip
Enter what you earn per hour and how many hours you worked at night, at the weekend, on a public holiday or as overtime. You will see the minimum your employer must add by Czech law. Nothing is sent anywhere.
How accurate is thisThis is an indicative minimum. Payroll calculates the exact amount from your average earnings over the previous quarter, which may differ from your hourly rate. If something does not add up on your payslip, the labour inspectorate gives free advice.
Hours add up: the night from Saturday to Sunday counts as night and weekend, so enter it in both fields. This is the legal minimum, your employer or a collective agreement can pay more. For a public holiday the law gives you paid time off, the extra payment only if you agree on it instead. For overtime it is the other way round: you get the extra payment, time off only if agreed.
What else are you entitled to?
Minimum wage, long and short weeks, shift work and how to check your extra pay on your payslip.
Read the article2026 rules for employees paid a wage: overtime at least 25% of average earnings, night and weekend at least 10%, public holiday paid time off, or by agreement at least 100%, difficult conditions at least 10% of the hourly minimum wage (CZK 134.40). In the public sector, where employees are paid a salary (plat), some premiums are higher (nights at least 20%, weekends at least 25%). Average earnings are calculated from the previous quarter, so the result is indicative. I am not a lawyer, for your situation the labour inspectorate gives free advice.
